Requirement to answer

Demands and board answers.

A signage player is a thermal and output problem first.

  • Player heat 28 W tiers rated −20 °C to +60 °C; the enclosure owns the airflow.
  • Player life Five to seven years is the norm; the board is one replaceable part.
  • Outputs HDMI 2.1 8K on TOP800B; dual HDMI plus Type-C on the NUCs.
  • Recovery Watchdog 0–255 s with sample code on TOP800B.

The board leaves Piesia with board-level documents. The enclosure, display and CMS belong to the integrator, who type-tests the finished equipment.

Configuration example / transit hall

A player that restarts before the queue notices.

A transit-hall player sits behind a sealed front panel. The enclosure reaches 50 °C+ and the player resets. The board cannot fix the enclosure; it can lower the heat load and add a recovery timer.

50°C+ the point where resets begin for common players
  • Board: TOP800B at 28 W, HDMI 2.1 to the 8K panel.
  • Second player: AD600CA, dual HDMI plus Type-C.
  • Recovery: watchdog enabled in BIOS; sample code supplied.

Before the inquiry

Certification and temperature, answered.

Is the board certified as a signage player?

No. Board-level documents are available on request per model. The finished player is type-tested and certified by the equipment integrator.

Which model should I shortlist for 8K?

TOP800B. Its HDMI 2.1 output runs 8K@60. The other outputs are HDMI 2.0, VGA/DP and LVDS/eDP.

What happens after a software hang?

TOP800B carries a 0–255 second watchdog with sample code. Recovery on the other models depends on the operating system and the integrator's configuration.

Can GEOLiNK supply the complete player?

No. GEOLiNK supplies the board; manufacturing of customized boards is by Piesia. The enclosure, display and CMS stay with the integrator.
